Harleen took her glasses off to rub her tired eyes. They weren't kidding when they told her that there was alot of work. Harleen set her glasses back on top of her nose and continued on with her day.
"Dr. Quinzel. We have a new arrival."
"Name?" Harleen asked taking the clip board.
"His name is Edward Nigma, but better know by the papers as 'The Riddler'."
"When is he to arrive?"
"Right now doctor." The young girl pointed her finger toward the front entrance. There stood two police officers both gripped onto the arms of their prisoner staring straight at Harleen. The prisoner however, was taking his first glimpse of his new home.
"Okay, we have him set up for cell 06859. Make sure thats ready." Harleen ordered before making her way toward the officers.
"Hello, I'm Dr. Quinzel." Harleen said as she shook the hands of the officers, "I will be treating Mr. Nigma here at Arkham."

Nigma found the gorgeous young woman's legs peaking out from under her business skirt. It brought him out of his "Coma" for a several moments. You could melt a cheese sandwich on them. That was what macho types said about things like that, wasn't it? Very long, they were, not tanned however. She didn't get outside much. Far to busy to work on a tan. It didn't matter. For once Nigma found her face, he found the kind of woman you only see in strange nostalgic dreams. A woman who didn't need a face caked in make-up to make you thank God you were a man.
Upon close inspection into her eyes for those brief moments he found the damage. Beautiful women didn't become doctors and eyes were windows to the soul. She was damaged in her heart. Perhaps someone, an old boyfriend maybe, hurt her. Whatever the case she was hurt, constantly vulnerable, Nigma hypothesized.
It only take a push to make her like him. Who, he wondered, would push her off the edge into the void where "The Riddler" resided...Nigma fell back into his glassy daze.

Harleen tried to ignore the uncomfortable stares she was receiving from her new patient. She kept focused on the officers, continuing on with their conversation regarding Mr. Nigma's stay here a Arkham.
"Please follow me and I'll show where Mr. Nigma will be staying."
Harleen took a quick look over to Mr. Nigma noticing that he had fallen back into his odd gaze. She turned on her heels and walked on down the halls with the officers close behind. When they arrived at their destination, they were greeted by several other staff members. Her assistant stood by the opened cell door accompanied by two guards, Harleen took her place beside the three.
"Here we are." Harleen stated as she watch the officers drag Mr. Nigma into his new cell.
He stood still not making any attempts to escape as one officer uncuffed his hands and the other unlock the chains around his feet. Once they were finish they ordered Mr. Nigma against the wall until both where safety out of the cell.
"Close Cell 06859." Harleen ordered.
The door slammed shut, finally the prisoner was secured and everyone can breath. Harleen once again shook the hands of the officers before her assistant showed them out. She watched as the three figures disappeared down the halls, then turned toward cell 06859. She peered through the tiny window that lead into the cell watching the newcomer making himself more comfortable. Her finger pressed down on the intercom and with a loud beep she was able to get Mr. Nigma's attention.
"Hello Mr. Nigma, as you know already I will be your doctor. Let me be the first to welcome you to Arkham."

"I look forward to it." He said in a pronounced tone. He was starting to sound like his green alter ego. He enjoyed looking at the good doctor. No doubt with the coming of her visits and sessions he would begin to flirt with her. She would keep her distance. Edward was good at that.
Making people feel uncomfortable.
He sat on his cot and smiled as pleasantly as her could manage. Then receding into a resting position, thinking of the time to come.
