Name: Josephine Beaumont
Age: 22
Sex: Female
Job: Socialite/Lawyer, former Model (during college).
Is your character a Superhero or Supervillian?: Not a villain yet...
Appearence: Tall for a woman not counting her heels, with cocoa skin, and soulful brown eyes. She is strikingly beautiful. Her hair dark brown with subtle light brown highlights, but because of her stint as a model years ago, she has dyed it lighter or black before. Because of the sports she had done in college, and her obsession with her appearence, she is toned but lean. She is always in expensive proffessional clothing or in glamourous evening gowns, with fancy heels. She never dresses down.
Personality: She is stuffy and snobby, (she even has a snobby accent) she loves to patronize those she doesn't like, but is not quick to judge. Everything is business to her, but she hates losing, and can throw a terrifying tantrum. She cannot say no to money, its an obsession which can be used against her. She also has an obsession with perfection and can be a bit of a control freak. She loves to use her beauty to her advantage, and normally prefers talking her way through situations to fighting, but she is also ruthless, and is not above using force to get her point accross. Although seemingly cold and calculated, she loves fun at the expense of others. Only few things rise compassion out of her; children and tragic stories.
((Note: She acts really sweet and nice and helpless to those she works with and talks to inorder to keep suspicion off of her, it's when she's doing her job that you have to watchout. Also, she is not a criminal yet, but will be....))
History:
Josephine Beaumont was born into an extremely wealthy and political family. Her father was a businessman, her mother a college professor. She was kind and giving growing up, many loved her. She went to the best schools growing up, and got everything she could ever want; whether it be clothes, parties, animals, cars, etc. But she was still down to earth, generous, and sweet. She loved to run and did track, ballet and gymnastics (all little girls did this stuff).
That would change the night that she and her siblings left to join their father in Saudi Arabia for the remainder of his business trip. The jet they had taken crashed en-route, killing the pilot, her older brother, and almost killing her younger brother. She was pinned under the wreckage for days shielding her baby brother, clinging to life next to the body of her older brother, Jared. Her younger brother, James, was to young to remember it, but this had untold effects on her sanity.
They were rescued soon after, but the damage was done. She lost her compassion for others and became severly claustophobic. She turned into a monster, to her money meant everything, no one knows why...but some say that she was so delirious that talking to the face on a coin was the only thing that kept her alive long enough to be rescued.
She began to throw herself at her work, acing all of her courses, and taking extreme risks during sports. She seemed fearless, nothing was too much...after what she had seen and been through, nothing hurt, nothing scared her. She was hallucinating, when she would look in the mirror, all she would see was scars that weren't there. This caused her to be obsessed with her appearance, needing others to reassure her constantly. She graduated top of her class from highschool, and despite her money she took a Arts scholarhship (for drama) to Gotham university where she ran Track, and did many sports. During her time in college, she began hallucinating again and needed constant praise to keep from slipping into a deep depression. So her roomate suggested modeling, and took her headshots.
Modeling was one of the best and worst things for her; she regained the confidence she had as a little girl, but became haughty, arrogant and she learned how to use her beauty to get what she wanted. It was here that she earned the nickname "Beauty the Beast". She changed her major from drama to law, and did a minor in International Business.
Unlike her brother, she embraced the "perks" of having money, while he went into the police force, she went to extravagent parties, expensive dinners, and dated many a rich lawyer or businessman. She was married while still in college, but the night after her wedding she was beaten and literally thrown out of his house with nothing for her former roomate and maid of honor. She can be distrusting of men because of this.
Unlike many of her fellow laywers in Gotham, she did not view herself as crooked, just self-motivated. She started out honest, her ruthlessness as a prosecuter winning her few friends in the courtroom. She was reprimanded, she was just too ruthless.
((She has not gotten to this point (tampering and such) yet, and is just beginning her career as a lawyer, in the beggining she will be a prosecutor))
She got tired of it, she wasn't seeing enough money, so she went through the process to become a defense attorney. She turned her ruthlessness on the witnesses, often questioning their credibility, and began bribing certain officials to secure a good verdict. She crossed the border from crooked to criminal when she would be offered money by big name criminals assure either an insanity or innocent verdict. She'd then use her skills to tamper or plant evidence, alter crime scenes, and bribe jurors and judges. She'd even bribe prosecutors and criminal psychiatrists. She would also lend her money to finance these same villains in their future endeavors, as long as she took in a percentage. She'd do the dirty work herself, using her abilities as an athelete and actress to get the job done.
Example of Roleplay (Don't worry it doesn't have to be long):
Josephine smiled, walking into the office for the first time. She was nervous, but didn't act like it...that's where modeling came in handy. She wore an expensive suite with a pencil skirt, and italian heels. Her hair was done up into a french twist, her makeup perfectly done. Time to show her stuff...and earn some big money. She wasn't doing this for charity...she laughed to herself.
She just graduated from college, and was looking forward to the challenge....
((Wow..that took a while...tell me what you think plz:DOh yea, i'm not sure how long it takes to become a lawyer, so if anyone does, feel free to tell me. Thanks!))
