The Familiar News Jingle of News Break...

"At the top of the hour, I'm Terence Monroe, here alongside Katie Forbes with the afternoon headlines;

First, our top story. In recent weeks, Gotham City has seen a massive drop in the homeless population. At first, one might contribute this to the reemergence of Lex Luthor. Luthor recently leased the City to run and build back up to a quote "Long Lost Glory." However, the the employed percentage of Gotham has remained at a constant and halfway houses have emptied. So the biggest question on City Officials' minds is..

Where are all the homeless going?

Speaking of Lex Luthor. The Billionaire tycoon has been spotted all over town reopening dilapidate industrial complexes on the East Side...now estimated to be worth many hundred thousands dollars. And to celebrate his "Renaissance" movement he has invited all the who's who to a glamorous party at The Gotham Museum, now reconstructed after the arch Criminal "The Riddler" attacked it early 2 months ago.

On a darker side of the news, although crime rates have dropped with coming of Luthor and the sudden comeback of "The Batman," possible gangland violence has claimed the life of Jack Nathan, notorious Pimp and gun runner. He was found last night, beaten severely, says Gotham PD Officials, by at least 4 attackers...police are still investigating....

The museum had already filled with rich types and the high life. The mood had been set in the main exhibit room. The lowing lighting dancing with relics of the past created an atmosphere of wondrous surprise. Glasses clinked and cigar smoke filled the air. In the rooms center a small band played light tunes, the piano delivering the man orchestrations. The guest of honor finally entered the room, Kitty draped on his arm.

Lex Luthor, dressed modestly compared to Kitty's overdone appearance, smiled like sly fox, wore pinstripe. If Kitty had anymore jewelery on her person, Luthor suspected she'd tumble down into a punch bowl like a back of hammers. Luthor and Kitty Must have circled the room at least a dozen times mengleing with everyone who had attended. What wondrous things the night held...
