Lex's rather unusual library at Lex Corp was never dusty. He'd manage to get his hands to every corner up and down. But today he'd rigged up one of Gotham's most historical documents...Its architectural floor plan...to his overhead projector. It took him long to discover his query...but he did find it...So Simple...hidden in plain sight for any villain...entrapuner to find.
Lex had been up all night. In his manic pacing, he'd stripped his coat and tie off. They laid undisturbed in a vacant corner. Who'd think that the answer would have been so easy to spot...yet elude him.
Kitty walked in, ready for bed, her make-up removed. Yawning, she walked closer to the overhead and tired to study the image. Of course, she had no idea what she was looking at.
"Why do you even bother?"
"Hey I'm not a--"
"What do you want? For me to tuck you in? A bedtime story?" Oh maybe an answer to your intellectually inferior and Juvenally entertaining question?"
"Huh?"
"I just want a cut in this unfair world. But, their always a over grown God in my way..."
"Super--?"
"The only difference now is its not a god...A mere man...one that bleeds...that can die as easily as you or I...and I have the key..."
"What is that?"
"Pipes."
A perplexed look fell onto her face.
He sighed. "What shall it be tonight, Green Eggs and Ham...Or Horten Hears a Who?"
"Horten! I like Elephants! Promise you'll do the voices!"
"I'll be there in a minute."
Kitty let out a giggle of anticipation and ran out of the room.
